From my Magnolia Collection, this painting represents some of the first flowering trees of Spring after a long winter. As a little girl, I loved climbing these trees as I listened to the return of birdsong and awaited warmer weather. I found solace in their strong branches and loved how soft and velvety the petals of the magnolia flower felt. I would often settle myself in a comfy spot to read, while taking in the aroma of early Spring.
