These two irises were some of the first irises I painted. I was getting ready to move to a different state and was feeling some anxiety about it, amidst the excitement. I poured myself into the details in this painting. The soft, sweet colors calmed me as I worked my way through the veining of the petals. Completing this painting gave me the confidence I needed to move onto the next chapter of my life.
